십계명

 

First, "You shall have no other gods before me".

제 일은, 너는 나 외에는 다른 신들을 네게 있게 말지니라.

 

Second, "You shall not bow down to idol or worship idol"

제 이는, 우상에게 절하지 말며 우상을 섬기지 말라.

 

Third, "You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God"

제 삼은, 너는 너의 하나님 여호와의 이름을 망령되이 일컫지 말라.

 

Fourth, "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy".

제 사는, 안식일을 기억하여 거룩히 지키라.

 

Fifth, "Honor your father and your mother",

제 오는, 네 부모를 공경하라.

 

Sixth, "You shall not murder".

제 육은, 살인하지 말지니라.

 

Seventh, "You shall not commit adultery".

제 칠은, 간음하지 말지니라.

 

Eighth, "You shall not steal".

제 팔은, 도적질하지 말지니라.

 

Ninth, "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor".

제 구는, 네 이웃에 대하여 거짓 증거하지 말지니라.

 

Tenth, "You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor."

제 십은, 네 이웃의 것을 탐내지 말지니라.(Niv)
